Rule The Runway is the seventh annual student fashion show at Kingsway Mall in support of the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation. Seventy-five high school fashion design students were challenged with creating royally-themed outfits from a selection of limited supplies. Their results were showcased in a fashion show on April 27th, 2017 in front of a sold-out crowd of hundreds at Kingsway Mall. All proceeds from the event went to the EPSF to support full-day kindergarten programs.
The Edmonton Public Schools Foundation has one main philosophy — to help children get ready for life at the front end of their journey!
We are focused on raising friends and funds to support full-day Kindergarten programs for students who reside in socially vulnerable neighbourhoods. We do that by offering the community – organizations and people like you – opportunities to invest in children and public education through financial, in-kind, and human resource contributions.
100% of all funds raised go directly into the Kindergarten classroom. Currently, the foundation subsidizes programming at Beacon Heights, Calder, Lauderdale, Princeton, Mee-Yah-Noh and Tipaskan Schools. It costs $100,000 to fund full-day Kindergarten programs at each school.
